Concepto
For this project, the client had a clear idea of what he was looking for. I wanted a leisure space flexible enough to, on special days, to host large family events, and also, at the same time, on days off, I wanted it to be used for more casual gatherings, where a living room, a small dining room and the kitchen could be used. Palapa Madre Tierra, then, faces the challenge of solving different leisure scenarios from the same architectural approach. Whether it is a party of eighty people where there is dancing, karaoke and banquet; whether it's a quiet Sunday of movies or soccer; or, a conversation between two friends at the bar, the project aims to meet the different needs that each of these occasions requires.

Estrategia de diseño
Festive
The cover
The roof responds to the study of sunlight: on its more open side, it allows the entry of noble light from the east, while, on its more closed side, it blocks the incidence of the west. While the stone of the walls confers a sensation of robustness, an elegant and light roof was designed, capable of floating on the cores and pillars.
Having versatility as a priority, it was necessary to think of an open and functional plan: a space to place furniture or remove it, to dance or lie down and rest. For this reason, the idea of propose two service centers in the back and a sloping roof, capable of providing sufficient shade for the entire project. The two nuclei, one for bathrooms and the other for the kitchen and food, were thought of as part of the structure itself, in such a way that the support points of the structure could be made more efficient: the beams are supported on the walls. The nuclei are compact and closed, with the aim of concealing the activity that occurs inside, and they are distanced from each other. This separation is intentional: it allows framing the surrounding space and also creating an uninterrupted flow in the palapa, giving space and room for the constant movement of users. _cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
